Jordy Smith

Durban’s very own professional surfer on the WSL CT World Tour, has been a long-standing supporter of our work. He has been an inspiration to the kids and has visited our work on many occasions. His parents Graham and Lu have also been super supportive of our work.

 

Sne makhubu

Sne Makhubu is a pioneering female Zulu surfer from Durban. She learnt to surf with our coaches and has gone on to surf for South Africa at the ISA World Junior Champs. She also surfed in her first international WQS event at the age of 17. Sne is a particular inspiration to the girls in our Girls Surf Too program.

11x World Champion Kelly Slater has been a friend, inspiration, supporter and allie for some years for which we are very grateful.

 

Ntando Msibi

NTando Msibi is a South African surfing pioneer. He wa a a homeless Street child until the age of 9 when he joined Surfers Not Street Children. He became a pro junior surfer representing South Africa twice at the ISA World Junior Champs in Ecuador and USA. He finished 17th in the world. Today, in his early 20’s, he is a pro free surfer and is full-time employed at The Surf HQ surf shop in Durban. He is an inspired and encourages the current children in our programs.
