Tofo Surf Club fuses surfing and life mentorship
Tofo Surf Club is our project in Inhambane, Mozambique. a surf club based on the model of our Durban beachfront drop-in centre. set up in 2018, It fuses surf coaching with mentorship, care and life lessons. designed to inspire, develop and divert children away from the social problems they face.
class work, sports activities, team building, surfing. The program offers youngsters life-skills that guide them to seek their full potential.
Tofo Surf Club has been made possible through a partnership with our friends Scholas Occurrentes, started by Pope Francis. During its launch in May 2018, the children took part in a live link up with the Pope. he blessed the project with enthusiastic support and later met with the children during a visit to Mozambique.
